Bug fixes on v1.1 and future plans

Update v1.1

Bug fixes:

  • Fix issue where texture glitches out when switching scene.
  • Fix mission could not be completed if object falls out of the game world. Objects will now respawn if it falls out of the world bound.
  • Fix background announcer voice is too soft to be heard. Use normal AudioPlayer instead of 3D AudioPlayer which causes sound to be soft when moving away from the source.

Future plans?

I realized I was too excited while releasing the demo, that I have forgotten the fact no play testing was done. Let this be a lesson, to me and everyone that even if it is a demo, it is best for a game to be play tested and free of major bugs. This is because eventhough it is JUST a demo, you want the player to access the gameplay and not be bother by the bugs.

There are a few things to note about the gameplay of this game. There is just isn't a whole lot of things you can do in this game. Once you play the first level, you have played it all.

When taking the inspiration from Tetris, I fail to take into account that the challenge of Tetris comes when it gets faster as you progress. Blocks falls from the sky faster. In this game however, I have eliminated the time limit making the game less intense and hence... less of a challenge. Player would just give up if they could not solve it because there is just no sense of urgency.

At least, these are just my own analysis on things.

Therefore, as of now, I will cease the development of the game indefinitely until I find a way to make it more appealing. I would still fix major bugs and maintenance will be continued. But as for story progression and level design, I would have to think them through.

Alas, this is also my first demo. I hope I did well enough. :D Thanks everyone who downloaded and play! See you all on the next thing!
